There are many strong and weak entries, probably entirely based on my interest in updating the blog. I am updating the blog to reflect the work performed in the preparation of the summary!

I think that I am not qualified to comment on the strength of my blog entries. I advertised my blog address via the discussion board, but one of the failings of my blog was that it was not popular.

The set tasks were performed. If I was to advertise my blog further, maybe other readers would be interested in the content. Most blogs seem to evolve into webpages purely via initial traffic to the blog and then acceptance of the content.

I think my blog is worth 7/10. I understand the concept of the blog. I have updated required information to the blog. I have also been able to customise my blog. I have investigated other user's blogs to gain perspective. The blog could maybe closer reflect the syllabus rather than my random updates.

The differences between the two are presentation and visual aesthetics versus the display of just raw text. The site appears to be well designed with option to search but defaults to different categorization of the links than the html site. http://www.diigo.com/about advertises reasons to use the site such as improved research productivity
The html version does not offer options to filter by tags or by annotation, more conventional search means such as Ctrl + F may be required to search the page text.

There are advantages for both formats depending on user preference. The html version does not contain advertising, which may be a plus for people with deep-seeded hatred for these irrelevant links getting in the way. I would prefer the site due to the appearance and search options. If I was unable to find what I was looking for, or found that I could not navigate around the site in a manner to my liking, I could always revert to the html version and perform basic searches or scroll through the text.

TOOLS EXCERCISE

I think I am a long way behind in my studies.

I have been reeling all day after a late night submitting an assignment for another subject, and have come to the conclusion that I may be a long way behind in my studies at this point in time. My intention is to spend the remainder of the weekend being responsible and studying. We will have to see how that goes!

I have just installed the Tools to a PC ... there are a lot of tools here. Password revealer was the one I chose to test first.

From my webmail homepage I tested the revealer, to find it only contained the URL from the homepage as the password.

Password revealer does not work (subject to retesting)! I have limited confidence in this toolbar, and am more concerned about working out how to move it from it's very annoying position!

Waiting for LMS...

still waiting for the LMS outage to be completed. I probably did not check properly, but I sat down on Sunday afternoon with a view to study for the rest of the day. As I could not access the system, I accessed beer.....

1. Investigate / Choose blog software - compare the different resources around and also discuss with other people about blogging. If you are new to blogging, like me, then this will give valuable insight.
2 Regular posts - keep followers updated with new content to your blog
3 Edit posts - check all posts for spelling, picture placements
4 Keep it simple - keep text simple & relevant
5 Plan your blog - having a plan / general idea of how you would like your blog to look will help keep structure

I think I just worked this out. Saving the picture first has major advantages in this process.
